A leading international pianist will be among the firstmusicians to perform at All Saints Canowindra on its recently-installed grandpiano in a concert next month.
Danial de Borah will recite works by Brahms, Schumann, Bach, Prokofiev andBusoni on the historic concert grand, built in England by renowned piano makersCollard & Collard.
The pianist has gained international acclaim winning the Australian NationalPiano Competition in 2012 and taking a major prize at the 2004 SydneyInternational Piano Competition.
He has appeared as soloist with the English Chamber Orchestra, the LondonMozart Players and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Barbican and CadoganHalls, London.
In Australia he hasperformed with the Sydney, Adelaideand Canberra Symphony Orchestras, the Australian Chamber Orchestra andOrchestra Victoria.
Mr de Borah has given recitals on four continents and has partnered manyleading soloists.

All Saints’ piano was built for Sydney Conservatorium’s then-senior pianoteacher Isador Goodman, a flamboyant character who dominated the piano concertscene in Australiafor many years.
The Cowra Arts Council is considering engaging a coach to bring passengers tothe concert on Sunday March 24 from Cowra to Canowindra, with a return tripfollowing afternoon tea in the hall.
It needs to find out how many would be interested in using this service beforeconfirming the booking.
There would be a nominal charge of $8 return from Cowra.
Tickets for the concert are available from the Age of Fishes Museum Canowindra,$20 for adults, $15 for concession, and school age children can enter free.
