Do you have a project you’d like funded for Youth Week in April?
Blayney Shire Council has received $1,230 from the State Government to give to groups or community organisations keen to run projects to encourage people aged 12 to 25 years to play a greater role in their community.
The theme for this year’s Youth Week – which runs from 5 to 14 April – is ‘Be active. Be Happy. Be You.’.
Blayney council is offering grants of up to $500, but will consider applications for projects needing more funds.
Member for Bathurst Electorate Paul Toole MP said: “Activities such as these are important ways to engage the youth in the community and assist young people develop skills that may help them later in life.”
