Fifty records tumbled and many more personal bests were set at the Lake Illawarra Little Athletics Summer Carnival at Myimbarr Community Park.
Around 300 youngsters from a host of Little Athletic clubs from across the state competed in one of the biggest club carnivals of the year.
Athletes completed in events ranging from 50-metre sprints to 3000 metres, plus long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus and javelin.
Among the top performers were Lake Illawarra’s Indie Bostock, Georgia McEwan and Shaye-Lee Frier, plus Wollongong City’s Blake Barklay and Jarrod Twigg, and Albion Park’s Casey Lee Bedford.
