Having a comprehensive business plan and a five-to-ten-year strategy are what gives NSW’s top small and medium businesses the edge, according to an analysis of 2012 Telstra Australian Business Award entrants.
The analysis showed those business plans had a clear vision, mission statement, financial and budgeting plans, planned products, marketing strategies and detailed analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
The plans also analysed competitors.
The findings come as entries have open for the 2013 Telstra Australian Business Awards.
Entrants receive a free 70-page business health check report that evaluates their individual business performance against international benchmarking standards, legislation and accepted industry best practice.
Telstra Country Wide Area General Manager for Western NSW, Scott Curtin, said, “Businesses from Western NSW can benefit from the Business Health Check by entering the Telstra Australian Business Awards. These awards were established to help small and medium businesses strategically plan for the future.
Awards entries are open until 4 April and for more information call 1800AWARDS or visit www.telstrabusinessawards南京夜网.
