The Lyndhurst born and bred publican had most recently managed the Mandurama pub, been in the police for 14 years and 14 years in hospitality.
“I’ve opened the doors, the beer’s flowing and I’ve had good trade with the locals since opening on Saturday,” said Mr Dolbel.
The kitchen will re-open for meals in a “few weeks’ time”, he said, and he has plans to sell staples such as bread, butter and milk.
“I saw an opportunity to come up here and open the pub and mum and dad live over the road,” he said.
“I’ll probably have Sunday afternoon music in the beer garden later on, too.”
