A way to go: Professor Larissa Behrendt will talk about the challenges to reconciliation.

Larissa Behrendt will be discussing challenges and ways to deal with them at a free lecture and book signing at Sutherland District Trade Union Club (Tradies), Gymea, on Thursday February 28.

Professor Behrendt will sign copies of her new book Indigenous Australia for Dummies at the lecture, which is sponsored by Sutherland Shire Reconciliation.

Professor Behrendt, who grew up in Sutherland Shire, is professor of law and director of research at the University of Technology, Sydney’s, Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning.

She has published textbooks on indigenous legal matters, has written about human rights, property law and Aboriginal women’s concerns, and has written a novel, Home, which won a Commonwealth Writers Prize.
