Planting at the Jindabyne Community Garden.TODAY you are invited to help plant the winter crop at the Jindabyne Community Garden. All members of the community are encouraged to come along.
Starting at 4pm at the Jindabyne Oval, get your hands dirty and plant a seedling or two – carrots; beetroot; parsnip and spring onion to name a few. Bring your own tools and refreshments.
“We would like to thank all those people that donated money at our stall at Flowing Festival. Money raised will be spent on our new crop planting this week.” said Margaret Chalk, Jindabyne Community Garden President.
“The Garden is looking great, and interest is building as more and more people discover that anyone can visit, pull out a few weeds, and pick some fresh food.”
A big thank you to the local people and suppliers who have donated time and equipment. David Morgan has built the new fence, and along with Mitre 10, Ardi Mechielsen, Jindabyne Landscaping and Jindabyne Equipment Hire, their help and contributions in getting the garden established have been greatly appreciated.
