Last Saturday, members played an 18 hole stableford event for the Blayney Tyre Power Trophy.

Tony Smith won with a sensational round of 66 off the stick for 44 stableford points.

Tony’s round was constructed with a birdie on the the 3rd hole for a front nine of 34, the back nine saw some fireworks with a birdie on the 10th hole an eagle on the 12th hole and a birdie on the 17th hole for a back nine of 32.

A grade runner up: Gavin Stammers with 37 points on a count back;B grade runner up Cameron Cassell with 40 points.

Ball competition winners: Phill Stammers with 37 points, Jim MacDiarmid 36 points and Ted Dell 36 points.

The nearest the pin: on the par 3 18th hole by Ted Dell and Tony Smith received a ball for his eagle on the 12th.

This Saturday members will play an 18 hole stableford event for the Blayney Newsagent trophy.

Next Saturday, members will play the 1st round of the 4BBB championships in A, B and C grades for the Royal Hotel Trophy.

The Blayney Golf Club annual general meeting will be held on Thursday March 21 at the club house starting at 7 pm with all members encourage to attend.

Last Monday, the veterans played an 18 stableford event for a club trophy, the winner was Beryl Tolhurst with 39 stableford points; runner upTed Dell with 35 points; nearest the pin Bob Costello on the par 3 2nd hole.

Blayney Golf Club juniors will start at 9.30am this Sunday.
